“In this Forest Hills apartment, modernizing was never about replacing the past, but about listening to the home. Original details were carefully restored, while new layers were introduced as quiet continuations of what had always been there. The beauty lives in that balance—between memory and modernity—where a home, much like our lives, evolves with intention while holding onto its story.”

"This Historic Queens Apartment Takes Inspiration From NYC’s Cobblestone Streets" 2024
This picturesque apartment is situated in the landmarked Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens, designed to resemble a traditional English village. The area features a charming town center with a commuter train station that provides quick access to Manhattan. Established in 1910, the tree-lined residential streets are curvilinear to discourage through traffic and encourage pedestrian use. The neighborhood features a mix of Tudor and Georgian single-family homes, townhouses, and garden apartment buildings.
