Humboldt Apartment

Brooklyn, New York / Residential Interior Design & Renovation

Designed for a young couple, this Brooklyn duplex was thoughtfully reimagined to balance expressive materials, bespoke craftsmanship, and the rhythms of everyday living.

At the heart of the residence, The Fluted Avocatus Kitchen brings together richly veined stone, warm fluted wood cabinetry, and carefully integrated appliances. Sculptural detailing and contrasting materials give the compact kitchen a distinctive architectural presence.

The bathroom, The Verde Marble Bath, continues this exploration of materiality through rich green ceramic tile, striking marble flooring, and a custom walnut vanity accented with black and brass details.

Throughout the apartment, original wood floors were refinished, surfaces renewed, and both the kitchen and bathroom comprehensively renovated. The result is a layered, highly personal home where bold design choices meet warmth, function, and everyday comfort.
